Skryne GFC 21st Annual Golf Classic

Date: Friday, 09th June 2017

Time: 11:00am to 5:00pm

Venue: Royal Tara Golf Club

Format: Three person scramble. Each of the winners and runner’s up must hold
GUI handicap.

Cost: €210 for a team of 3

Sponsorship: €100 per hole.

The Golf Classic is one of our principal fundraising activities and your support is greatly appreciated in helping us with the running of Skryne Gaelic Football Club and with the continued development of our grounds and facilities in providing ongoing sport for all ages catering in age from under 6s to adult, male and female.

Skryne GFC Registration 2017

Registration is now due for all who wish to become members of Skryne GFC.

This year Skryne GFC are delighted to announce that for the first time ever we are introducing our all inclusive family registration package deals where men, women, boys and girls can all be registered in the one family package.

Also included for this year’s registered members is free use of our state of the art astro-turf pitches.

Registration for all will take place in the RST Centre on:

Friday, 17th February 2017 from 7pm to 9pm

Saturday, 18th February 2017 from 9:30am to 12:30pm

Wednesday, 8th March from 7pm to 9pm

We look forward to meeting everybody in the RST Centre for registration. Tea/coffee and treats will be available to all on each date.

Please see the following funeral arrangements for our friend, colleague and Club President Ray Mooney who sadly passed away yesterday. May he rest in peace.

Reposing at Fitzsimons’ Funeral Home, Navan, from 4 o clock this Thursday afternoon, 19th January 2017 with removal same evening to The Church Of The Immaculate Conception, Rathfeigh, arriving at 7 o clock. Funeral Mass on Friday at 12 noon with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to The Irish Heart Foundation.

The Boys Juvenile AGM will take place on Mon 9th January at 8.00pm in The RST. All are welcome to attend. This is an opportunity for parents to hear what is being planned for your boys in 2017 and voice your opinions relating to the club.

Boys Medals Presentation

The Boys Medals Presentations will take place on Saturday, 14th January in The RST Centre, starting with the U6s, U8s and U10s at 5.00pm .

Then at 6pm we have the U12s, U13s, U14s and U15s. There will refreshments available.

Skryne GFC held their AGM in the RST Centre yesterday evening. The following officers were elected to the Executive Committee: –

Chairperson – Eamon Giles

Assistant Chairperson – Dermot Carty

Secretary – Senan Mc Grath

Assistant Secretary – Sinead Rooney

Treasurer – Michael Mulvaney

Assistant Treasurer – Ross Phillips

PRO – Rowan Dardis

Insurance Officer – Norbert Coyle

Childrens Officer – Caroline Whelan

Health & Wellbeing Officer – Trevor Giles

Irish Language Officer – Joseph O’ Brien

Safety Officer – Kevin O’ Rourke

County Board Delegate – Oliver Harrington

I.T. Registrar – Rowan Dardis

Committee Members – Dolores Tobin, Nicky Hamill, Madonna Purcell

The AGM also elected 4 new Club Presidents in addition to the 2 current Presidents Fr. Thomas O’ Mahony and David Carty. The 4 new Presidents are Ray Mooney, Paddy Mulvaney, Lily Fox & Sean Smyth

The following were ratified as managers of our Adult teams.

Senior Manager – Martin Frayne (for 2 years)

Junior Manager – Nigel Fox

U21 Manager – Nicky Hamill

The hot topics discussed on the evening were football matters and a forthcoming increase in the membership rates in order to help the club meet it’s increasingly demanding running costs.
