Mouthguard and Registration Update
Mouthguards We have negotiated a discount with Elvery’s and we can supply Boil & Bite type mouthguards for just €5 each. We will have these for sale at registration. Remember all underage players must have mouthguards before either training or playing. Registration Registration will take place this year at the clubhouse from 11am to 3pm on Saturday 2nd March, and the following Monday to Friday from 7pm to 8:30pm.

Use of Mouthguards
Most of you will have heard through the media about the new GAA rule regarding mouthguards for underage players. The new rule came into force on 1st January this year, and we are obliged to enforce this ruling. Skryne Underage players of all ages (from U6 to Minor incl.) not wearing mouthguards will not be allowed to either train or play. Under 16 End of Year Report
Despite some reservations at the start of the year our U16’s were graded in Division 2, where it was decided they needed to be to maintain the high standards that have come to be expected from Skryne underage teams. This proved to be a wise decision when Skryne U16’s were crowned division 2 champions in May 2012 and reached the division 2 semi-final stages of the summer league in August. The Underage section of Skryne GFC held a very successful and enjoyable fundraiser in the form of a Mr & Mrs Competition in Swan’s Lounge on Saturday 27th October. Skryne v Gael Colmcille – U16 Summer League An under strengthened Skryne team, due to injuries and holidays, put in a workman like performance to overcome Gael Colmcille in this Summer league match played in Kells on Wednesday evening. Skryne with first half wind advantage took early control of this game to lead the home team by 2-06 to 0-05 at half time. Skryne got the better start in the second half with an early goal, and then seemed content to sit on their lead with only sporadic bursts up the field.
