Skryne U16’s Div 1 Spring League Vrs Trim.

The Skryne U16’s played Trim on Monday 7th and with a game that they were hoping to win were unfortunate not to come away with something. Soft goals was to be the bitter blow but also on the other hand Alex Curran pulled off some exceptional saves and something that you would see at County level. The game was played in Trim and for the first time Skryne had there full panel for the first […]

The lads all played really well as a team and there was some great high fielding not to mention point taking, movement and passing. Well done lads and keep the training up. Great performance by all and not to forget the […]

Skryne U8’s start the season off with Go Games against Seneschalstown

Congratulations and well done to the U8s who braved the wet elements in Seneschalstown GFC. This didn’t deter them one bit. Credit has to go to Seneschalstown for allowing the games to go ahead as there would have been a lot of disappointing faces if it was called off. The Go Games is based around the Fun & Enjoyment element and this could be clearly seen by both sides as the make new friends from […]

Skryne U17’s Vrs Trim.

Hard luck to the Skryne U17’s who took on Trim in Skryne. Skryne has the majority of players who are U16’s and playing Div 2 football gave it everything, Trim on the other hand had Nine U17’s and Skryne with three. This was the difference between the two sides. At half time there was nothing in it. Skryne battled hard but with injuries at during the game and also those that are out injured it […]

Skryne U13’s too strong for Leixlip

The second of the cross border games which took place and Martin Dawson was the referee again. Martin let both games flow well and had very little reason to blow the whistle. This is credit to all teams that played. Skryne got off to a great start and put a lot of pressure on Leixlip. To be fair to Leixlip like Skryne U15’s they didn’t give up and showed some great defensive work. Skryne emerged […]

Skryne U15’s Vrs Raheen

Hard luck to the lads yesterday as they took on Raheen of Kildare. Skryne U15’s are without the presence of Oisin Keogh, John O Regan due to injury and James Mangan also received an injury in the first half of the game early on. John Finnerty was also not available. All the same the lads that were on the pitch fought for every ball right to the bitter end and never gave up. Well done […]
