U12 Girls FC vs St Colmcilles
The Skryne U12 Girls took on St Colmcille’s under less than ideal conditions in Skryne last Wednesday. Strong winds and rain didn’t hamper our girls – they dominated the field for much of the game and came away with a 3-11 to 1-4 victory. We are now through to the championship semi-final. Under 12 Boys through to semis
Skryne U12’s Spring League is well under way now. With plenty of football played we were in a tough group. The U12’s play with two teams from 7 aside to 11 aside. The whole purpose of the two teams is so that everyone gets a game and at the end of the games the two scores are accumulated together. U10 Dunganny Blitz
The first u10 Blitz of 2013 took place in Dunganny on April 7th. Much to everyone’s relief the day was bring and sunny. Teams were 9-a side and Skryne had three U10 teams on the day. Each team played three games each. 2013 – U10 Football Update
The 2013 season for the U10s is up and running. Training commenced on March 1st for children born in 2003 and 2004. Despite the poor weather over the last few weeks there has been an excellent turn out at training with over 30 kids showing up. U12 first report
Skryne U12’s season got off to a start on the 20th February with training on Wednesday nights from 7.00pm till 8.00pm. There is a panel of 25 in the U12’s. Skryne had their first game against Dunshaughlin on the 23rd Feb. Dunshaughlin have been training since January but we never like to turn down any challenges when the opposition asks us to play. Minors Changed: The Minors are back in action for the third round of the Div2 league when they take on Summerhill at 7:30pm on Tue 12th March in Skryne U14 Changed: The first round of the U14 Div1 league begins when Skryne take on St. Peters/St. Pauls Dunboyne at 7:15pm on Tuesday 5th March in Skryne. Mouthguard and Registration Update
Mouthguards We have negotiated a discount with Elvery’s and we can supply Boil & Bite type mouthguards for just €5 each. We will have these for sale at registration. Remember all underage players must have mouthguards before either training or playing. Registration Registration will take place this year at the clubhouse from 11am to 3pm on Saturday 2nd March, and the following Monday to Friday from 7pm to 8:30pm.

Use of Mouthguards
Most of you will have heard through the media about the new GAA rule regarding mouthguards for underage players. The new rule came into force on 1st January this year, and we are obliged to enforce this ruling. Skryne Underage players of all ages (from U6 to Minor incl.) not wearing mouthguards will not be allowed to either train or play.
