Skryne win in Kilberry

Skryne picked up a further two points in a win against Wolfe Tones Kilberry on Wednesday night in Division 1B Football League. Wolfe Tones took an early lead in this game and so had much possession in the opening ten minutes that they should have been further in front than their two points before Skryne opened their account.  Skryne eventually levelled matters at three points all on twelve minutes and went on to dominate the rest of the half scoring eight more points to the home sides four before the half time whistle. After the break Wolfe tones pegged back this lead and on thirty five minutes the Skryne lead was down to just two points.  However five more points from Skryne against one for the opposition gave them a six point lead with ten minutes left on the clock.  Wolfe Tones then won a penalty which was converted to leave only three points the difference with the clock ticking down fast.  They added two more points before Paul Mooney blew for full time with Skryne returning home with both points.
