Feile 2018 comes back to Meath after 26 Years

By under8Manager Wed 27th Jun

Not so long ago we were planning for the event of a life time in Skryne. Its hard to believe that the time is almost here. To some it is like the All Ireland Final. To others its all about the memories. To the commitee who has worked really hard its all about the success and time and hard work that has paid off.
We now know that we are hosting two clubs that are similar to Skryne. They are steeped in tradition, success and a great track record of title wins from Senior Ladies & Men right down to the grass roots of Underage. We couldn’t be any prouder and give a warm welcome to O’Donovan Rossa GAC Magherafelt & Claregalway GAA. It will be a fun-fill jammed packed weekend. Speaking to both clubs there will be no shortage of support and there will be plenty of flags flying on Friday / Saturday and we have no doubt on Sunday. We made a promotional video along
with Seneschalstown GFC & Walterstown Gfc Official to welcome all clubs with no other than one of the best Gaelic Players from the past Trevor Giles of Skryne, Paddy Reynolds of Watlerstown & current Meath Ladies footballer Stacey Grimes of Seneschalstown. We had Martin O Connell’s daughter Jane of Walterstown who spoke in Irish welcoming all clubs and wishing them the best. Also we brought both the Derry & Galway Flags to the Hill of Tara as a symbol of unity & a warm welcome to the hea rt of the “Royal County” Please see below the link to the video.
