10/2/2014 Skryne Minors began their campaign in Div 2 with a comfortable win over the Castletown – Syddan combination namely Killary Emmets away at Syddan. Both sides could only manage 14 players so 13 aside was played. There were good displays from Timmy Lennon and Robbie Clarke in the full back line and Oisin Gryson at centre back. We have been given a number of National Club Draw tickets with some fantastic prizes on offer. Every cent taken on ticket sales goes direct to the club, and will be a huge boost to allow us to continue the planned development of our facilities for all club members. 2013 Skryne U10 Report The season kicked off on March 1st. Training sessions consisted of drills to develop the key skills; kicking, catching, pick-up, tackling, kick & hand passing, scoring practice and sessions culminate in a short 15-20 minute game. The aim is to provide an U11 league for players who will be eligible to play in the U12 grade in 2014. Following mass for deceased members, Skryne GFC held it’s AGM in the new clubhouse on Monday 09 December 2013. The meeting was well attended and was a successful end to a very busy year. The Underage section is by far the largest part of our club, with 148 children registered on the boys side alone from Under 6 up to Minor (U18) last year. The Underage Committee is made up of a relatively small committee that manage the training, matches, PR, fundraising, and general administration of the underage section.
