Well done to Skryne U14’s who had there first competitive match of 2015. Co Na Nog ran the Feile Peile Na Nog in Dunganny for the U14’s in Dunganny. It was ran with different divisions and the winners would go on to reprenst Meath in Carlow for the Feile. Skryne were grouped against Senchelstown, Wolftonnes, Slane & Roundtowers, It was a tough group with the majority of the players at the age of 12 years of age, Great credit has to go to all the players who gave it 100% from start to finish,

Skryne played their neighbours Senchelstown in the first games on Friday 13th with a throw in of 6.30pm. It was 15mins aside and Skryne battled against a strong Senchelstown side. Skryne gave a soft ball away for them to get a goal from and Skryne were also unfortunate not to score a goal.

Final Score

Skryne 1-2

Senchelstown 2-7

The next game was against Wolftonnes and Skryne dominated the game from start to finish with all players from defence to the forwards playing really well.

Final Score

Skryne 4-04

Wolftonnes 0-4

There next game was against Slane on the Saturday but for some reason Skryne were handed a walkover and had a long wait till the next game at 6.00pm. The wait was to prove crucial as they played Round Towers of Kells. The game was played with a high tempo and Skryne were ahead by one point at half time. Skryne had alot of injuries with Jack Dardis off and Kristoffer Kinsella also injured. The managment made some changes and in the end it was one kick of the ball that decided the winners and that was Round Towers. Round Towers progressed to the Semi Finals on Sunday 15th with the Skryne lads thinking of what had could been. They done the club and themselves proud and put on an entertaining match.

Final Score,

Skryne 2-04

Round Towers 3-04

The best of luck to Senchelstown who went onto win their final and will go on to represent Meath in the Feile.
