Skryne U16 qualify for Division 2 Final

Skryne U16 boys have now joined their minor counterparts in qualifying for the division 2 league final
after an impressive victory over Trim this evening (18/05/12).

Trim played with wind advantage in the first half but failed to make a serious impact and were visibly
rattled when they only lead by 2 points at the break. This was mainly due to a phenomenal work rate by
the Skryne team who repeatedly stifled the Trim attack, forcing them to shoot from poor positions.

Skryne slowly took control in the second half with their defence well on top, where Oisin Gryson
displayed some fine fielding, and their attack were picking off some useful scores, where John Morley
made a welcome return for his first outing of the year after prolonged injury and contributed an
impressive 1-03.

Skryne eventually ran out 5 point winners at full time and now qualify to meet Rathkenny next Tuesday
or Wednesday evening (Date and venue to be confirmed).

Final score Skryne: 3-08, Trim 1-09
