The U10’s finish off 2011 season by using the new club house.

Well done to Skryne U10’s for 2011. Looking forward to seeing all the gang back next year and don’t forget to practice during the winter months. From Skryne GFC

The end of the Gaelic training, Games & Blitz came to an end in October 31st. Declan Brown & David Keogh put in a good years work with what is to be described as a great bunch of lads. Who have an engine and determination that is only to be described like a Porsche 911 or Ferrari. The talent in these guys is great to watch. They are not at a competitive stage yet but with the new club house there is plenty of room for all the silver ware they are going to bring home in the future. The U10’s are the first to use the new changing rooms in Skryne’s new club house. Along with some of the other underage squads from Skryne. There was a great buzz about the place even though the weather was not in our favour. (But as you can see from the photo’s this only encouraged the guys) The club house was open to all people from young too old to see how much it has progressed. There was also a match for the U10’s who played each other in a Friendly game .Paddy O Rourke and Ciaran Lenihan were there to advise the young lads at half time and also to look at the great talent that is at underage level.  From the start both side’s showed some great passing catching and kicking. It is a great credit to Declan & David how much this side has progressed from the start of the year. The U10’s have really moved on and there vision and point taking has improved. There is a Panel of around 24 players in the U10’s and roughly 8 of them are moving up with a further 10 moving up to U10’s next year. U10’s played in a League in Summerhill which was the last one of the year and kept there 100% record on the day by beating Dunsany & Blackhall Gael’s. Again we would like to thank Declan and David for their continued support along with Cormac Grendon, Paddy Mulvanney, Tony Moreland & Andy Mc Connell who all helped out with Blitz’s, Training & sending out the text’s. Last of all we would like to thank the parents who chauffeured there kids around but from the photo’s you can clearly see the enjoyment and satisfaction they are getting out of playing Gaelic football is immense. Also a big thank you to Paddy O Rourke & Ciaran Lenihan for presenting the lads with some medals and also giving them the team talk at half time. The young guns look up to you as their idols and it really makes there day.

We would like to thank everyone for their continued support through out the year and look forward to seeing you all again next year.
