On Saturday last 20th June the U12 boys went to Simonstown to compete in the 7 aside Finals as defending Champions. Skryne had secured their place in the finals by winning their qualification group which consisted of Blackhall Gaels and Dunshaughlin.

On the day Skryne were in Group B with Round Towers, last years beaten finalists Wolfe Tones and St.Marys.  Group A consisted of Walterstown, Simonstown, Meathhill/Drumcondrath and Dunshaughlin.

The Skryne lads started really well and beat Round Towers on a 8-4 scoreline and Wolfe Tones on a 10-5 scoreline.  With St.Marys also winning their first two games the final group match would determine who would go through as group leaders and who would go through in 2nd place.  Skryne fell behind in the 1st half and despite an excellent 2nd half performance they lost out on a 11-8 scoreline.

In the Cup semi finals Skryne faced Simonstown.  Despite a very good start and two excellent scores to settle the lads, Simonstown took control of the remainder of the game and ran out winners on a 13-7 scoreline.

On the day the Skryne players were Cathal Lenehan, Scott Armstrong, Cillian Moss, Daniel O’Keane, Oisin Keogh, Billy Reilly, Kian Reddy, Jack Swan, Alex O’Reilly, Sean McCarthy, John Finnerty, Andrew Nolan and James Mangan.
