Skryne U13s win 2 from 2 in the Div 2 Rnd 2 League.

Well done to the U13s Div 2 panel and apologies for the delay in uploading some photos. The lads have won 2 from 2 by overcoming stiff challenges from Seneschalstown and St Ultans / Cortown and are playing some superb Gaelic. Alot of practice has certainly been put in and the team are running like a well oiled machine. Best of luck to the lads in there remaining games and we will have photos of […]

Skryne U13’s meet a strong St Colmcilles side in the final.

Skryne U13s played there Div 2 final on a Saturday 19th at father Mc Manus Park. Conditions were dry and a little cool at times. It’s not the first time a final of the host club to be in it and St Colmcilles made the journey to Skryne with a 2.00pm throw in. Cilles had seen off the challenge of Dunderry in their Semi Final and a Dunderry side that had gone unbeaten in the […]

Skryne vrs Gaeil Colmcilles U13s was as entertaining as it gets !!!

Skryne U13’s made the journey with the help of the parents to Grangegodden in Kells knowing they were in a semi final. The only thing to b decided was who to was have the home advantage. Grangegodden has three fantastic level playing pitches and is also open to the elements and especially that of a north wind. Weather was cool with a northerly breeze. Skryne warmed up on their first pitch on the left as […]

Skryne boys U13’s showed trues class against Wolfe Tonnes of Drogheda.

Well done to the players and management of the Skryne U13’s who played Wolfe Tonnes of Drogheda on Saturday 23rd in Father Mc Manus Park. This is the teams third game in the cross border league games and one they should be very proud of. The team just came up short against St Joesphs of Dundalk last week and certainly made amends with some great team effort and play against St Josephs and was really […]

Skryne Boys U13’s get a taste of Pella GAA in Trim.

Skryne U13’s got a taste of Pella. A game that they have never playyed before and the only way to describe it is a cross over of Basketball & Galeic Football. It a great game to lay and with a high tempo and fast movement, Tackling is key and dispossession of the opposition and a fast attack is what wins you games. Like Basket Ball if you Score into the Large Hoop outside the “D” […]

Skryne U13’s Keep their unbeaten run in the Semi Final.

Skryne have continued their unbeaten run after beating Seneschalstown at a Cold Father Mc Manus Park on Friday 20th in the Semi Final. With Ground frost lingering and temperatures plummeting to minus 1 both teams put on a heated display of Gaelic Football. The passion of both sides was like a battle of two great warriors. Skryne had already beaten Seneschalstown in the round robin with a score line of 5-10 to 1-9 but […]
