U-14 FC Division 2 final

St. Michaels 0-5
Skryne 2-10.

Played in Cortown.

St. Michaels went under to a much stronger Skryne side in this division 2 U-14 final played in Cortown on Sunday last.

A Shane McDonnell point after 26 minutes of play was all St. Michaels could muster in the first half as Skryne went in at the break 0-6 to 0-1 ahead, a lead that could have been greater if it were not for some good saves by Joey Curran in the St. Michaels goals.

Skryne put the result beyond doubt immediately after the restart with a brilliantly executed goal on 32 minutes. St. Michaels gave it their all in the second half with Ben Tobin, Michael Dunne, Matthew Halpin & Christopher Drew to the fore. Shane McCormack, Shane McDonnell Matthew Halpin and Thomas O’Brien added a point each, but it wasn’t enough as their much stronger opponents went on to deservedly lift the cup after the final whistle.

St. Michaels: Joey Curran, Alan Reilly, Michael Dunne, Adam O’Brien, Stephen Dolan, Christopher Drew, Ben Tobin, Thomas O’Brien 0-1, Matthew Halpin 0-1, Craig McGivern, Dylan Moran, Ray Reilly, Conor Smith, Shane McCormack 0-1, Shane McDonnell 0-2.SUBS…..Caolan McConnell for Conor Smith, Michael Fitzsimons for Craig McGivern,
